Quality main objectives of the quality policy in connection with the ISO 9001:2000 standard

We measure high voltage for you

using instrument transformers for both outdoor and indoor applications, special transformers, sensors and power transformers

Quality policy applied within KPB INTRA s.r.o.

KPB INTRA s.r.o., with its miscellaneous range of instrument transformers, has become more and more focused on individual needs and requirements of both domestic and foreign customers. We have achieved relatively stable economic results since the foundation of our company.
However, we cannot make do with our existing internal and external system of work under the tough conditions of the current market in the future. We must improve ourselves especially in the field of communication with our established, new and potential customers, so that we can satisfy their expectations and needs in future contracts and create such process conditions so that our quality will be fully under control and continuous improvement can be achieved.
The products and technical services offered by us must flexibly follow the requirements of the customers and reach a high technical level. We intend to progress systematically in accordance with the development plans that define partial stages and their specific goals in a more detailed way.

It is not possible to rely on and confine our activities to the domestic market at present. It is essential, in the interest of the development of our company, to present ourselves not only in the domestic, but above all in foreign markets as well as possible and to progressively gain the confidence of the local customers in our products. Activities associated with approving our instrument transformers, establishing and progressive increasing of marketed volumes in such markets follow this promotional activity.

Continuous development and improvement of the quality system management in accordance with the amended ISO 9000:2000 standard is the main supporting means required in most cases by business markets in our sector. The task of all employees of the company is to participate in purposeful and sensitive development and improvement of this system. It is entirely up to us how we will succeed in utilizing knowledge and experience of the previous generations that is generalized in the above-mentioned standard. The main purpose of development and improvement of the quality management system is maximum utilization of the knowledge and experience contained in the ISO 9000:2000 standard and bringing our company systematically onto a higher quality level in this way.

I expect the quality management system, for example, to assess the rate of order handling in a measurable way and to apply measures for improvement or to reduce the number of non-conforming products both inside of the company and at the customers’ premises and also to establish a system of monitoring rejects and complaints and claims in such a manner so that causes can be identified and methods leading to improvement subsequently applied.

The LCS Helios information system forms an information backbone of our company. It is another supporting means for our development goals which is closely linked to and complements the quality management system. This information system is very flexible and open from the point of view of the user. It means that each of its users is obliged to participate in implementation as effectively as possible and to utilize all offered options of this IS.

The effort towards systematic and purposeful reconstructing and maintenance of the existing plants in our premises on a high technical level is another supporting means of successful development of our company. The purpose is to create progressively and then to maintain a high-quality technical, technological, labour and social environment (construction and commissioning of a new epoxy processing plant, reconstruction of the assembly shop, construction of storage facilities or reconstruction of inspection department facilities).

When building the system, we must apply above all:

Systematic contacts with our customers so that we can implement not only the requirements specified by them in orders and associated specifications or engineering drawings, but that we can also collect experience with application of our products under their operational conditions. Scheduled meetings with the selected customers and the most diverse forms of marketing surveys will be more intensively used for this purpose.

  • More flexible reacting to customer feedback and systematic solving of their comments, topics and issues, thus providing the customer with certainty that our products comply with all quality criteria.
  • Consistent utilization of applicable binding and legal regulations for supplies and for creating process conditions.
  • Determination of more specific criteria for individual production operations in technological processes and working instructions.
  • More effective utilization of personal computers and our network for application of important processes.
  • Specification of more demanding criteria for our suppliers and influencing their processes towards higher quality by consistent control of purchases. To force them to introduce and demonstrate their own quality management systems.
  • To make responsibilities, authorities and organizational processes of individual employees more specific as to ensuring conformity with the requirements included in sale, purchase, review and other processes and to ensure that not even one product the parameters of which do not comply with the requirements of the customer will leave our company.
  • Improvement of the working environment and equipment so as to create suitable conditions for functioning processes while we lay the main emphasis on order in work places, preventive maintenance of equipment, measuring instruments, auxiliary fixtures, tools and moulds.
  • Progressive improvement of qualification, skills and knowledge of our employees with respect to the quality of performed work.

We expect full support of our quality policy from the side of our employees, specifically:

  • Active involvement in cooperation with the management of the company in creating the quality management system in their respective work places.
  • An effort towards improvement of internal communication, providing the managers of the company with topics for improvement of processes and products, active participation in improvements and expressing their loyalty to the objectives of our company through their working results. It is necessary to work with awareness of the fact that the result of the work of one employee continues with the work of another employee and that each inconsistency results in losses for the company. Continuous rectification of causes of errors in the most effective tool of prevention of problems and improvement of processes.
  • Satisfaction of our customers based above all on precise and perfect performance of our products and services, on observing and shortening delivery terms, prompt fulfilling of customers' wishes and resolving claims or complaints, respectable behaviour and favourable prices should be regarded as the main indicator of the results of our organization.
  • Active improvement of their knowledge and skills, active participation in planned training and full subordination to organizational rules, tasks and partial goals set by individual managers of the company.

The management undertakes to create resources for establishing, maintaining and improving the quality management system, specifically through support of equipment of work places and the working environment, organizational arrangement, by defining responsibilities and authorities, providing needed education and training, conditions for obtaining information and by effectively managing to fulfil partial goals of the quality management system. The management will also systematically review the elements concerning quality and influence processes in a suitable way so as to achieve system elimination of non-conformities and improvement of processes.

Establishment of the quality management system in accordance with the above-mentioned standard is a demanding task, which however has been achieved by many companies. It will result in a higher stage of operation of our organization and maintaining our position in both domestic and foreign markets where a quality management system currently represents a commercial necessity in many cases.
